The lens also has SubWavelength Structure Coating (SWC) that reduces ghosting and flare, and a new anti-reflective Air-Sphere Coating (ASC) is used to reduce internal reflection. Additionally, when compared with previous TS-E lenses, the lens comes with usability improvements like larger tilt range, shift-and-lock knobs and a mechanism to lock the lens at its zero-tilt position. The rotation of the tilt-shift lenses allows users to freely change the axis of tilt movement and shift from right angles to parallel which results in various shooting conditions & situations.
