Additionally, the “Fly More kit” is priced at US $319 and the kit comes with two additional batteries, a multi-battery charging hub, a car charger, a battery to portable power bank adaptor, two pairs of propellers, and a carrying bag. For those who don’t know, DJI was known as one of the best manufacturers of consumer and commercial drones.
The Mavic 2 Pro is the foldable consumer drone that can be easily folded and fit into a bag, making it stay true to the Mavic line. Apart from this, the Mavic 2 Pro is the second iteration of its camera drone lineup, and the key highlight is that the Mavic 2 Pro comes with Hasselblad L1D-20c camera, features a 20-megapixel sensor and a 10-bit HDR video capture.
The Mavic 2 Pro has the most advanced camera system in a drone and it uses a new 20-megapixel 1-inch CMOS sensor that comes with variable aperture ranging from f/2.8 to f/11 and it offers better control on the images in varying lighting conditions. Alongside, the Mavic 2 Pro can shoot 4K HDR video in 10-bit, it also has 10-bit D-long M colour profile that is co-engineered in partnership with Hasselblad making use of unique Hasselblad Natural Color Solution (HNCS) technology for a superior light and colour performance and provide maximum flexibility for photo and video editing.
The company has integrated 3-axis gimbal-stabilized cameras that allows for stable footage and has a feature called Task Library that lets you save flight paths to capture same footage more than once. The Mavic 2 Pro comes with advanced intelligent features such as ActiveTrack 2.0, Hyperlapse, Hyperlight, four panorama modes (Sphere, 180 degree, horizontal, and vertical), more secure video transmission, and up to 31 minutes of battery backup.
- ActiveTrack 2.0 keeps a moving subject in the frame during flight
- Hyperlapse let you create professional-quality hyper-lapse videos with the help of Free, Circle, Course Lock, and Waypoint
- Free – pilots the drone manually while shooting a Hyperlapse video.
- Circle – automatically flies the drone in a circular pattern around a subject you select to create a time-lapse video that captures the action.
- Course Lock – keeps the camera fixed on shooting subject while the drone flies in a straight direction to create a unique perspective.
- Waypoint – plans a complex flight path based on both altitude and GPS coordinates to capture complex shots.
- Hyperlight for better low light photography
The Mavic 2 Pro comes with 14 shots of dynamic range and compatible with DJI Googles Series, and feature DJI’s low-noise flight technology.
For safety, DJI has improved its Advanced Pilot Assistant System (APAS) which helps pilots to control the drone in an easier manner and has added 10 sensors on all sides of the drones for more accurate obstacle sensing, and safer flight. Additionally, the inclusion of downward facing LEDs near the propellers also ensures that the landing area of the drone is well lit even under low light situations. Apart from this, DJI has also integrated a new GEO system that not only helps you with navigation but also prevents the drone from being flown in restricted areas like airports or inform the pilot that it’s not safe to fly the drone.
The Mavic 2 Pro comes with OcuSync 2.0 video transmission enables a more stable connection between the drone and the remote controller with the help of auto-switching between 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequency. Users can download 1080p video feed and original JPEG images from a distance of up to 8km and instantly upload them to social media.
The Mavic 2 Pro comes with an internal storage of 8GB along with an SD card slot for expansion.
The flight time on a single charge is 31 minutes and it can reach maximum speeds of up to 44mph or 72.0kmph in Sports mode.
